it all started with my love for garage sales.
mum would give me my allowance and I would inevitably come back draped in costume jewelry (or sometimes dragging mattress springs, they were only 25 cents, how can a girl like me resist?) and I would create all kinds of new things and adventures with whatever was around. I once made a dress using found fabric and it was held together with dad’s shoebox of political buttons, Joe Clark even made it on there.
the fascination with all things handmade has never stopped.
I am based in Vancouver, BC and work out of a studio I built for myself in the corner of my home. I work in semi-precious stones, handmade glass beads, wee charms and delicate findings. I also sew and have been known to get excited about all kinds of creative projects.
I drink a lot of coffee, sometimes tea. I play my music really loud, sometimes just in my headphones, sometimes the cats dance with me. I am very handy and consider myself the lovechild of McGyver.
I love my family and my friends, and value the communities around me.
I own many pairs of sneakers and work well with others.
oh, and what does telly mean? the name telly originated from my love of watching old DVD’s of seinfeld while making all my pieces. the television was gone for a while, but the name stuck.
